Bern’s Cave du Fromage is, literally, a cheese cave that houses a discriminating selection of artisanal cheeses from around the world. Because we love fine cheese, we created two in-house cheese caves where we can store and age our cheeses so they can be served to you at their peak ripeness.

In the smaller cave the temperature is a constant 50 degrees with 90% humidity.  Cheeses aged here include Blue, washed and soft rind cheeses. Washed cheeses include Raclette, Taleggio, Grayson & Cowlgirl Creamery Red Hawk.  Soft ripened cheeses may include Robiola, Brie & Camembert.

The larger cave houses our hard and aged cheeses.  These include various types of cheddar, Parmesan Reggianno, Gouda and Manchego. The temperature is kept at 55-60 degrees and 80% humidity.  

Our selection changes daily and includes everyday favorites to rare or lesser-known types.  We offer a 3- and 5-cheese plate paired with delectable accompaniments in the dining room and in the Dessert Room.  So whether you prefer salty, zesty, sweet, fruity or nutty, let our Cheese Director tantalize you with the best choices in the world.
