A native of Houston, Texas, Trey Christy initially trained as a classical violist, and was exposed early on to fine wine while working as a professional musician. Trading one passion for another, the study of wine eventually led him to Bern's Steak House and its unparalleled wine cellar.
Today, along with two other sommeliers, Trey assists in managing manage one of the world's greatest wine collections. This includes updating inventory, ordering wine, maintaining the wine lists, and of course, providing guidance to guests through the treasure trove of wines at Bern's Steak House.
Trey has traveled extensively on educational trips through California, France and Italy, as he continues to keep abreast of the constantly evolving world of wine. He has passed the strenuous Court of Master Sommeliers Advanced Exam, and is striving to become one of only 167 Master Sommeliers in the world.
This summer, Trey has been invited to sit for the Master Sommelier exam, the highest standard in the industry for proficiency and knowledge.
